Meet the Doctor 

Dr. Caesar C. Butura, originally from New York City, earned his dental degree from Columbia University and completed advanced oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Illinois. Board-certified since 1999, Dr. Butura specializes in dental implants and oral reconstruction, including All-on-4 and zygomatic implant surgery. 

Leading Butura Oral and Dental Implant Surgery, the only ZAGA Center in the Southwest, he emphasizes minimal intervention and optimal patient comfort.

The procedure involves removing one or more wisdom teeth to prevent pain, infection, or other complications. It typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, with a total visit time of about 90 minutes.

During your consultation, we will review anesthesia options to ensure your comfort. Our trained and licensed staff provide various types of anesthesia in a safe environment, using modern monitoring equipment. Regular inspections by the Board of Dental Examiners ensure our facilities, doctors, and Surgical Care Team meet the highest standards. 

Although most people develop 32 permanent adult teeth, their jaws are often too small to accommodate the four wisdom teeth. When there is inadequate space for the teeth to erupt, they are referred to as impacted. This means they cannot emerge into the proper position for chewing and cleaning. 

• Soft Tissue Impaction: The tooth is covered by gum tissue.
• Partial Bony Impaction: The tooth is partially covered by bone.
• Complete Bony Impaction: The tooth is entirely encased in bone. 

Bone Grafting: The procedure rebuilds and strengthens bone to support dental implants or restore facial structure. 

Jawbone Loss & Deterioration: The surgery addresses bone loss caused by missing teeth or other conditions by stimulating bone growth or adding graft material. 

Sinus Lift: Our experts add bone to the upper jaw near the sinuses to support implants.

Nerve Repositioning: During this procedure, we adjust the nerve placement in the jaw to allow for safe implant placement. 

Ridge Augmentation: We restore the natural contour of the jaw after tooth loss.

Socket Preservation: Socket preservation prevents bone loss by filling the empty socket with bone graft material or a substitute after a tooth extraction. 

The fee for your treatment is determined by a number of factors, including the difficulty involved in removing your teeth and which type of anesthesia is best for you.

During your consultation appointment, the surgeon will need to review your X-rays, complete an examination, and determine the best option for anesthesia before an accurate estimate can be provided.

Every insurance company has a different policy regarding the extent of coverage for a given surgical procedure. Our office staff will help you obtain maximum insurance coverage for your treatment.
